Hoofing2Help was started as an organization whose focus is
coordinating fundraising events for equine rescues. Our goal was
to assist in raising the money that these "saviors" desperately
need for the rescue, care and maintenance of the animals they
save, as well as drawing attention to the plight of unwanted,
abused and "slaughter-bound" horses.
Since that
time, we have discovered that similar events can be run as a
fund raiser for any charity. It is not a stretch to get people
to go for a nice trail ride, add some horse related trivia
questions and develop a win/win situation.
Annually,
walkathons raise tens of thousands of dollars for high-profile
health organizations. We are adapting this to horseback, and
expect this to do the same for these charities, whose
participants will saddle up and join us for your
local Hoofing2Help ride. Riders can help by getting friends and
family to sponsor their ride in dollar amounts (sponsorship is a
flat amount for the entire ride, not by distance). Funds
raised will go directly to the charity organization(s) the ride
is being coordinated for. We encourage your questions and are
here to help make this a great way to raise money, have fun and
test your equine knowledge.
